Enter
your search term or phrase in the textbox above and click
the Search button. The Search
will automatically look for words with similar roots. For
example, if you search for "wood" you will also
get results showing pages containing "wooded," "wooding,"
"wooden," and "woods."
Advanced Search Functions
If you would like to perform a more
targeted search, settings can be adjusted in the 3 categories
that appear above the search box.
1) In the Match window, choose whether to search
for web pages containing All the words, Any
of the words, or some Boolean combination of words.
Match All Words to
find web pages that include all of the words typed in a search.
(This search mode is similar to using the Boolean "and"
expression.)
Match Any Words to find web pages that include any
of the words typed in a search. (This search mode is similar
to using the Boolean "or" expression.)
A Boolean Expression is used to describe exactly what
you are searching for using the terms "and" and "or"
along with parenthesis to group specific words together. Examples
of Boolean expressions are shown below:
woodland and owning
woodland or owning
(woodland or owning) and taxes
2) In the Format
window, choose Long or Short responses. Below
are examples of the entries returned by each format:

3) In the Sort by window,
choose whether to see resulted ordered by the relevance
Score assigned by the search engine, the Time the
article was published, or alphabetically by Title.
(The Reverse ordering of these three options is also
available.)
A board foot is defined as 144 cubic inches. From 1000 board feet of wood you could make:
15,000,000 toothpicks;
122,740 No. 10 envelopes (standard);
920,000 personal checks;
or, 60 Boston rockers.
